Welcome to Ashera Project

The Ashera Project, Inc. is an Austin based non-profit youth development program focused on at-risk youth at Reagan High School. Ashera Project concentrates its group work on four different areas: sexual health education, connection to community through service learning projects, creating a plan after high school, and a leadership program offering mentorship to first year students. Ashera Project's four years of programming include activities intended to:

• create and support a peer group environment with positive norms and behaviors;
• foster greater connectedness to participants' school and community; and
• initiate long-term planning toward success in school and in life.

Creating an Impact

Ashera Project completed its first four-year pilot program in 2008 and has succeeded in supporting and empowering young women to graduate from high school and reducing teen pregnancy. 100% of the young women that completed our four year program graduated from Reagan High School, been accepted to at least one college or university, and passed the exit level TAKS exam.
